Educational requirements can vary wildly. From having nothing more than a high school deploma to a Masters degree.
Different jobs within the game development spectrum as well as different companies, will require different things.
However, there are some basic minimums: Creativity, Knowledge of programming languages, Software experience, 3d Modeling,
Art, as well as the ability to work in a team and handle large amounts of stress. Again, depending on the position you are seeking,
your job will require different things. Having a professional portfolio and internship/co-op experience is a large plus and
can sometimes be manditory as well, depending on the company. Lately, some companies may require licenses or certifications depending
on the job.
Narrowing your career path is very important tin this field. As mentioned before there are different requirements for each job.
If you are looking to be a designer this would take a different educational background than say a concept artist, or a software engineer.
The smaller the company you work for, the less specialized you will need/want to be. The larger the company the more specialized you will
need to be.
